Yes, Papaver somniferum – or perhaps with some hybrid influence to give it the dramatic colour. I have lots of poppies growing about the place and the bees are ever busy.

Too little flower with a bumblebee compared to Papaver orientale. :))
Rather, it is papaver rhoeas or papaver Shirley, probably.
