October 6th Daffodil Event

WE have BIG NEWS for the Texas and Louisiana daffodil lovers and our friends in the Southern Region.

Our friend BRENT HEATH, The Daffodil Ambassador, is speaking at SFA University on October 6 at 7 PM. ADS members should try to attend and promote our organization. SFA is in lovely, historic Nacogdoches, Texas, about 1.5 hours from Many, Louisiana.

Greg Grant, David Creech and other fine horticulturists are associated with Stephen F. Austin University. Please schedule now to attend! I recommend checking the SFA horticulture web site for more info. The Conservation Center on Ragout is easy to find, but arrive early for good parking. Also the finest plant sale in the region with hard to find cultivars and new introductions for the south is this weekend at SFA. Hundreds of serious gardeners attend yearly, and all the funds go to support the horticulture department. Again, thanks to Grant and Creech, horticulture is thriving in deep east Texas. They are treasured friends of ADS.

The Louisiana – Mississippi Daffodil Society is proud to announce that Greg Grant is speaking at our first daffodil show in Louisiana (Ruston) next March 4. Greg is a well-known garden writer, designer, speaker, and grower of heirloom plants in particular and all plants in general. Our own Ted Snazelle is also speaking and assisting with this first show. Without Ted and our Mississippi friends, this first show would not be possible.
