Too Early In Currituck County

This is one of my seedlings that bloomed this morning.  It is so windy outside and cold that I had to hold it in my hands to take a picture, so please ignore the finger tips.  It is a Desert Storm seeding of intermediate size, about 75 mm and with a 2Y-O color code.

I think it has some promise.  Maybe. . .

  1. Clay, any hybridizer on any continent would be proud to claim this one! It is a true keeper, and I hope it will multiply and you can exhibit it widely. Such as the Nashville convention show in 2018.
Wonder if the relative earliness (in this strange season) will hold up.

  2. Hi Loyce,

Thank you. Desert Storm it’s seed parent is Early to Mid Season. So this one being early and the crazy weather both are probably effecting it’s early bloom. I have ‘Monal’ another Y-R blooming as well.

    Strange! Good olde Daffodil weather.
