Daffodil folks are REALLY serious about growing and showing their flowers. Conventions are the MOST fun AFTER the judging is over. If we tried to tell you about some of these tidbits that you missed at this years convention we would probably have to invent some new words. If this is a preview of next years ADS convention then I expect to see a LOT of orange and red cupped daffodils!
Not sure you can tell from the second photo but Ted Snazelle was relieved to have scheduled this convention between two really severe thunderstorm events. High winds and heavy rains ripped through Jackson EARLY Wednesday morning just before the event. Then heavy rains and high winds grounded our flight out on Monday after the event for 6 hours. Ted should become a long range weather forecaster. Maybe some where near Baltimore:-))
