  1. Congratulations first of all to Nancy.
The flower that jumped out at me from this collection was the double in the top row, Southern Hospitality. I noticed first how lovely the lay of the back two rows of perianth petals is. I looked at other photos of this cultivar on daffseek and I was surprised to see that it doesn’t always do this. Some of the photos show the back two rows laying directly over each other, whereas Nancy’s bloom has the petals rotated to lay between the previous layer.
I think it is especially beautiful this way. Maybe many other doubles do the same from time to time, but I’ve never noticed it so clearly as with this flower.
Makes me think of 11’s split into 11a and 11b, but with those we assume a’s will always be a’s and b’s, b’s. Not so with Southern Hospitality apparently.
