Baltimore show – Rose Ribbon winner

The Rose Ribbon is for the best standard seedling in the show exhibited by its originator, excluding the Challenge section. The winner was 73-36-3 3W-GYY exhibited by Mary Lou Gripshover. This was one of the blooms in her Mitsch Trophy winner. You should keep in mind that there wer not a huge number of seedlings by originator at the show and that Mary Lou had refrigerated her flowers for three weeks in order to have them for the national show.

  1. And aren’t we all glad that our blooms held up through judging!! :-) Thank goodness there’s nothing that says they have to hold up through being photographed. :-) I should add that this was not the only entry in the Mitsch class. I was amazed, however, that there weren’t many candidates for the Rose Ribbon brought up for consideration.
