To the Northern Hemisphere daffnetters
 
Our first standard daffodil opened a few days ago.  Baldock x Emerald Sea.  Its a pity we are not going to the Convention as we could have taken a Southern Hemisphere flower to compete against your Northern beauties.  Some of these early flowering hybrids grow so rapidly after the first Autumn rains, they flower within days after the growth appears through the ground.  They are quite unique.
