Hi Kathy,

Pleased to see that the bulbs are doing Ok.  I would suggest that you dead head the stems, move the pots to a cool location (perhaps plunge them in the ground), keep them watered in order to keep the foliage going as long as possible.  If there is no fertilizer in the pots a very light dressing of potash could also help.  

Now some local news.  Max Hamilton is back in hospital.  The problem is a racing heart beat.  The Docs think that there may a potassium and magnesium deficiency and are treating him for that.  We visited him yesterday and apart from being frustrated with it all he was quite cheerful.

Graham Phillips has also been in hospital for some surgery.  The op was successful and he is out of hospital and recovering.  Bronwen was a Nurse but we think she will have to tie him down for recuperation.  We visited him the day after his op – he was still under the influence and woozily claimed to have been on marijuana!  Not likely!  Morphine is the drug of the day. 

Will keep you posted on the progress of both .
