Dallas Texas show

I am sorry to say that I really did not get good photos at the Dallas show. Time flew by even though we were there both Saturday and Sunday.
Here is a shot of the awards table, I know of nine different exhibitors who got one of the major awards on this table and maybe there were more different folks. There were 450+ stems in the show as I recall.
Dottie Sable won the Silver ribbon in a tie breaker with 14 blues.
Rod Armstrong won the best bloom with a fabulous stem of Geometrics, it is the middle bloom of his vase of three. This was also the best vase of three, it actually came out of his Tuggle award collection as I recall.
Five the six candidates for best bloom were from different exhibitors.
I seem to recall that 50,000 or more people came through the gates of the arboretum this weekend. There was a Russian couple who were really excited about seeing some of the daffodils. They had never seen any of the jonquils or tazettas in bloom before. They were there visiting their daughter who was their guide and interpreter.
My wife Sandy and Don McKenzie ended up having to take all of the questions from the visitors Sunday as nearly our whole club was busy all day taking the Judges School I or teaching it or taking it as a refresher course! Keith Kridler
