Hi Daffnetters,
Our local Otaki Horticultural Society started the show circuit today for central area growers .
The warmest August on record had allgrowers with plenty of blooms and most thinking that
they must show now as the season is finishing fast.
Not exactly sure on the exact past numbers ; however if the 682 stems exhibited is not a record ,
it will be very close …21 daffexhibitors with several new faces was very pleasing and the standard
was very high throughout all the grades.
I had a little camera battery trouble late in the session but can quickly put most of the premier
blooms up tonight and finish tomorrow .
Thanks to veteran judge Claude Poulsen for a good days work , assisted by Wilf Hall in the lower grades .
