I thought that you might like to see a couple of pictures from the RHS Chelsea Flower Show. Jan Pennings won a Gold Medal for his wonderful stand of hyacinths (picture attached) and Johnny Walkers also won a Gold Medal for his amazing display of daffodils (following email). It is especially impressive when you think that the temperatures in London for Sunday and Monday were around the 29/29 degree Celcius mark!
Two other members of the Daffodil and Tulip Committee won awards at Chelsea, but I’m afraid I didn’t have time to get pictures of their stands. Ron Blom won a Gold Medal for his enormous display of Tulips and Christine Skelmersdale (Broadleigh Gardens) won a Silver-Gilt Medal for her lovely display of late spring-flowering bulbs.
