Christmas daffodils

This is Koopowitz 03-091, ‘Emerald Sea’ x (N. taz. Lacticolor x N. elegans). I posted a photo of it first on December 16 with 2 florets open and, being so busy this time of year, I slowed its progress by stashing it in the florist fridge so I could continue to enjoy it when I’m home from work. To give you some idea of the size, each floret is a little over 2″ across . All 3 florets on this stem are open now and there is a second stem yet to bloom. That is a very old aluminum Christmas tree in the background.
There are 3 more stems with buds on 3 other Koopowitz seedlings procured at the fall board meeting in the cart in the garage. We don’t have any snow here yet, but when I arrived home about 4:00 the rain was just changing to sleet.
I received my comp copy of the Journal from Loyce today. Just wait until you see the cover! It is so vibrant! And like Loyce said, the issue is filled with great articles from cover to cover. If you’re not a member of ADS, you’d better sign up online right away so you don’t miss this one! And, when you get to the registration for the Jackson 2011 convention on pages 120-121, fill it out and send it in. I’m hoping to see many of you there!
Happy Holidays to all! Becky
