Another award was announced at the ADS convention. Prior to his presentation on Sunday evening, Ron Scamp announced that the RHS has awarded the RHS Peter Barr Memorial Cup to our Kathy Andersen. This Cup is given to “someone who has done good work with daffodils.”
Kathy has been looking for daffodils in their native lands since the late 1980s, often re-visiting a location to document their survival–or not. She has written about them for various publications, and encouraged others to join her on her treks. Again, the applause and standing ovation were long, and well-deserved. The award will be presented to Kathy in London on March 29th.
