Update on Kevin Kerr

Hello Everyone,

as many of you know, our dear friend and fellow daffodil grower, Kevin Kerr, was diagnosed with an
aggressive brain tumour last June.  Surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy
treatment has made little if no difference and Kevin is finding everyday
tasks are getting progressively more difficult.

He and Carol are very grateful and touched by the cards, letters, emails and
phone calls they have received from their many daffodil friends worldwide.
Kevin asked me to email daffnet and tell you how much he appreciates your
kind thoughts.  He feels that he is no longer able to send emails or write  himself
(although he says he may be able to get his “secretaries” (Carol and
daughter Emma) to help out.  He still enjoys talking on the phone to his
friends.

The 2008 World Daffodil Convention Tour and subsequent travel holds many
great memories for Kevin so it is wonderful that he has that to look back on
with such pleasure.

His illness has also meant that Kevin has sadly had to relinquish his
position as Treasurer of the National Daffodil Society of NZ.  Dr. Peter Ramsay
has kindly offered to take on this task until the next elections in
September where we are hoping to have someone else offer to take on the
position.  In the meantime all financial matters are to be handled by Peter:-

We are filled with admiration for both Kevin and Carol with their courageous
and positive attitude in the face of such adversity.  I am sure that they
and their family are in your thoughts and prayers as they are in mine.

Kind regards to all,

Denise.
