Some of the results from Wisley, when I have finished cutting tomorrow I will post some more
First picture The Guy Wilson Trophy
the class calls for 6×3 distinct cultivars
The winning exhibit contained, Back Row- Night Flight, Cameo Love, Middle Row – Cool Crystal, Hanbury, Front Row – Quiet Waters, Kubla Khan
Second Picture – The Open 12 cultivars from Div’s 1 -4 & 11
Back Row – Ombersley Kaylee Ann, Summer Breeze, Honybourne
Second Row – Cape Point, Banker, Moon Shadow, Terminator
Bottom Row – Entente, Bluntington, Cameo Fire, Dorchester
Just to give a perspective of size all the middle and front row flowers were 112mm with exception of Cameo Fire and Dorchester which were 108mm and the Back row all were 115 mm
Both exhibits were grown and exhibited by myself
I thought this could have been my first and last show of the season because of the extreme heat we were experiencing here in England 3-4 days of 23 -25 deg C but today we are back 11 – 15-degs C.
Mary Lou do you notice the points in the inner perianth petals, but as you can see they are starting to broaden
Must be away and get sorting ready to cut for The Daffodil Society show at Warwick
