Digging Daffodils and Moving.

A couple weeks ago I stated that Fran and I had sold our home and are in the process of finding a place to move and digging daffodils.

I’m glad to state that the daffodils are dug thanks to the Master Gardener Volunteers of Currituck County, NC and a dedicated college grad neighbor of our neice in NC.  The young lady dug daffodils like a professional and you only had to tell her once and she knew how to keep the bulb clumps separate.

Thanks to all those that volunteered to help, especially Ross Hotchkiss and Paul Botting.

I have all three of my drying racks full of bulbs. I was surprised that it took one entire rack just for my hybridized seedlings.  The digging ended with some record breaking hot weather for this time of the year here in the Middle-Atlantic states.  It took two long weekends, a holliday and a couple days vacation from work, but the task is done.

A place to live . . . hang my hat. . . finalized this weekend.
