Last season, Peter Ramsay wrote about the work that is going on in our area with young people and encouraging the children to grow and exhibit daffodils. Peter oversees the project and with a Northern Daffodil Club mentor assigned to each school the competition is becoming very strong indeed.

On Friday, these four schools came together for their Annual Daffodil Show at Newstead School.
The enthusiasm is infectious and the rivalry, fun. The teachers and parents are very committed as they need to be to make it all come together.
It was a pleasure for Ron and myself to judge the show.
