Leafing out in Ohio today.

Not what I expected or wanted to see today, but was amazed to see a good
three inches of new growth coming up in one of the daffodil fields during a
Thanksgiving day walk. (Most likely Hospodar).

I’m guessing it may be in for a rather unfortunate Winter assuming it
doesn’t know something we don’t. Then again, I found an entirely black “wooly
worm” today, not a hint of rust on it. I’ve never seen that before (and
yes, I know there’s no rational scientific connection between their
coloration and the coming Winter — but it does give one pause).

Hoping your Thanksgiving hasn’t brought you any scary surprises!
