blooming in Ohio, in time for Christmas

Friends,
Today I have my first daffodil of the season, just in time for the Christmas holidays! It’s a seedling bred from ancestors around the world, like most Americans who can trace their roots to other countries. The seed parent is N. romieuxii (seed from the RHS) and the pollen parent was from seed sent by Lawrence Trevanion in Tasmania. Crossed in Ohio, they’ve produced a flower which opens pale yellow and fades to white.

Merry Christmas to all.
