White Miniature Sibling – In Bloom Today

This is a sibling to the earlier post. Parentage is the same (V05-1). Even smaller at 23mm in diameter.

Totally weird color. Bud was NOT forced open. The 12:00 petal is generally white with a green tip. The other petals (sepals and tepals) are mostly green with varying amounts of some white, This particular selection was noted as being a strong bicolor in 2011. Some peculiar seasonal aberration no doubt. I expect that warmer temperatures will bleach out the green and I’ll be left with a bicolor. Probably a bicolor that will show uneven color and streaks or blotchiness where the green was. SIGH.

Now back to looking for that needle in all this hay………
