Murphys show – Quinn Award winner

We’re finally at the last picture of horticultural award winners; any others not pictured means
the award was not given. The Quinn class calls for 24 standard daffodils from at least 5
RHS divisions. The flowers in the winning exhibit are:

In my haste, I accidentally omitted capturing the front row when framing the photo. I would
apologize to the exhibitor except it was me! The cultivars in the front row that you might
not have seen often are Dreamlover and Kathy A. I’ll post some photos of them later.
(Too bad; I had planned to use the photo as an example of the classic yellow/white
perianth checkerboard pattern in staging a large collection.)

Another thing I didn’t photograph that I wish I had was the best artistic design. I had heard
about two sided designs, but this was the first show I’ve attended that included them.
The artistic design section had a duo class where the designs are placed on a table that
lets you view the designs from both sides. Each side of the design is judged separately.
The best in show was one side of one of the duo designs.
