N. x cazorlanus

This is N. x cazorlanus 13Y-Y. It is a naturally occurring intersectional hybrid that the botanists tell us is from N. hedraeanthus crossed with N. triandrus subsp. pallidulus. Has not been seed fertile (intersectional sterility?) for me but the pollen shows some limited fertility with specific parents. Here it is tall growing and vigorous. Flower size is 45 mm in diameter or about 1 3/4″. It seems to exhibit attributes from both parents.

  1. Wow! That’s a really bright-colored one! I’ve only seen paler colored
ones. Like most with triandrus heritage, they didn’t survive here very
    long.
