American Daffodil Society Challenge Cup

Due to the necessity to guard the silverware, we sometimes do not bring out the various trophies at the American Daffodil Society’s national show. This year, the trophies were on display. (The time before was at Chicago in 2009.) I believe it was members of the Maryland Daffodil Society who guarded the trophies to make sure they didn’t wander off. Since they’re displayed so seldom, it’s hard to remember what each trophy is; hence, the signs are necessary. Here is the ADS Challenge Cup. I’m not sure about the one in the upper right background, but I think that’s the Evans trophy.

Winning exhibitors may borrow the trophies but have to return them before the next national show. Most winners are satisfied to receive a certificate that includes a photo of the trophy and list of previous winners of the trophy.
