The recent change in the rules for the Purple Ribbon now make every collection of 5 standards except the Historic collection eligible for the Purple Ribbon. In past national shows, the reverse bicolor collection, the American-bred collection, and all the international collections were ineligible. The Purple Ribbon is now more prestigious than ever before. The winner was the Division 3 collection. The flowers in the collection are:
