Christopher Birch (age 5) won the Best Bloom in the Youth Section. Christopher was delighted with his winning ribbon. He picked and staged his own flower. Christopher’s parents, Rodney and Christine (Havens) Birch, were quite pleased. His grandparents (Dick and Elise Havens) were also pleased. They have every reason to be proud!
Christopher personally confided to me (Mr. Steve) that although he wasted his first five years of life with no daffodil shows, he is now making up for lost time. Talent doesn’t just “run” in the Havens clan, it GALLOPS!
