Portland, Oregon – 3rd and final ODS Show for 2012, Maroon Ribbon

Here in Oregon with such variable weather, even assembling a Maroon ribbon entry is often a challenge for exhibitors. The balancing act is between keeping the flower on the plant outside in order to get enough sun to “reverse” and still not get the flower trashed by the weather. Margaret Pansegrau managed that complex task well, and won the Maroon Ribbon with a fine exhibit of five perfectly reversed stems.

Margaret’s strongly reversed flowers were: ‘Drumnabreeze’ 2Y-WWY, ‘Logan Valley’ 1YYW-W, ‘Daydream’ 2Y-W, ‘Lemon Tarts’ 7YYW-W, and ‘Wasco’ 2Y-WWY.
