Thank You to the hybridizers and sellers and ADS website

That's a little beauty, Steve! There are so many daffs that you, Harold, Bob. Brian, and others post that I would love to have in my garden! I'm thankful for you serious hybridizers and from the specialty growers who make the bulbs available to us--like you, Elise Havens (Mitsch Daffodils), David Burdick (Daffodils & More), Jason Delaney (PHS), John Reed (Oakwood Daffodils), Nancy Wilson (miniatures and species), Bill Welch (tazettas), Kate & Mitch Carney (South Mountain Farm) and Joe Hamm (historics). Forgive me if I've missed anyone.

Folks, I am only mentioning US people here, but on the American Daffodil Society's website you can find lists and contact information for "Specialty Growers and General Bulb Merchants" from all over the world. It is not too early to order bulbs to plant this fall! The bulbs will be sent at the correct time for planting in your area.

From the ADS website, there are links to many daffodil bulb sources:

A Specialty Grower is an individual or company that grows what they sell. Many sources listed hybridize daffodils and offer new creations and/or rare bulbs.

A General Bulb Merchant is an individual or company that sells bulbs grown by others. The sources listed under "General" sell mostly standard or "older tried and true" varieties.

While I'm at it, the ADS website is a tremendous resource of all sorts of good information on daffodils. Many thanks to Nancy Tackett and Ben Blake and all their helpers for the ADS website!  If you haven't wandered around it, please do. One of my favorite pages is the Resources and References page. There are all sorts of treasures to be found there!

If you're new to Daffnet, there is also a page to find local societies near you (in the US).

And if you're not a member of ADS, we invite you to join! And it's not too late to sign up for the ADS Convention in Baltimore, MD, April 20-22! We're always glad to welcome new people and we guarantee you will meet lots of daffy friends!
