Virginia Daffodil Society Show at Lewis Ginter Garden Richmond

Hi,

I did it again. Another White Ribbon. I don’t know what I have to do to stop winning them. I don’t have the show report, but there were a lot of daffodils at Richmond today. I didn’t win but one of the ADS medal awards that I entered – The Marie Bozievich Award was it. I was sorely disappointed that I got a “White Ribbons” for my Red White and Blue (all seedlings).

I didn’t win the major miniature awards. However, I have to fess up. I was showcasing my miniature seedlings at the show and enter a large amount of three stem, and single stem entries. My little N. dubius X NTT that I got from Graham Fleming won a blue ribbon as well as several others that he sent me. However, two of my seedlings also won there class. These are two seedling (miniature) that I wanted to register this year and testing them against competition proved to me that they are worthy.

Testing my seedlings, I did win the standard and the miniature Rose Ribbons and the Gold with Banker 2Y-O. The standard gold ribbon was won my my seedling cross from ‘Golden Topaz’ X ‘Golden Strand’. It is increasing well. I hope it continues, smooth, silky and deep texture.

I’ve bloomed out. Looking forward to next season.

Maybe someone will post he Richmond, VA., Virginia Daffodil Society Show results. I’m now sorry that I forgot my camera.
