Early blooming daffodils

It’s been a rough spring so far this year. A few weeks ago we had a couple of nights with 5-7 degrees F. Viridiflorus and dubius hybrids had foliage and some blooms. I saved most of them by covering with tarps and pieces of carpet. Everything not covered was damaged severely of course. Then it warmed up, the miniatures started blooming, we then had an ice storm, I lost power for two days. The ice finally melted off everything today but left a lot of damage behind. Took a few photos today, the miniatures I am posting were covered with pots during the ice storm or the sleet and ice would have destroyed them. I should have covered a lot more but did not get it done. Some of the miniatures were not that far along, so I hope to have a few for the convention. The little white miniature trumpet has the following cultivars in it’s parentage. (Pledge, Gipsy Queen, Little Beauty, Roundita, Camborne, and Candlepower twice. Gosh, it’s so early, will probably never get it to a show. Have a cross of Arrowhead x Limas Green Road in bloom with some interesting blooms. I think some of them are kind of nice but very early due to Limas Green Road, posted one. The photo of the standard broken stems is Marie Mont, very early bloomer. Tree limb fell on it. Plus a few other broken stems.  Supposed to warm up some next week so the daffodils will come on strong.
