Hi Daffnetters ,
We have very much enjoyed all the flowers and people we have seen during your show season ..
Quite obviously it was a very late start to spring in most areas and then it all came with a rush .
A big thanks to all the photographers and show reporters .
As we are straining our ageing backs planting our bulbs , the flowers are an inspiration to keep
going and hope for similar champions .
Our Central Daffodil Group held it,s A G M in Palmerston North on Saturday 1 May .
A good attendance, a good meeting and those who had any daffs bought them along .
Alice Hannam had an unlabelled pot , identified as Cantibricus Foliosus, with 3 small flowers.
I managed 3 stems of — Tahi — a very early tazetta ,raised in N Z by Max Hamilton from
seed sent to him by Bill Welch in California .
Wilfred Hall had a handfull of very fragrant tazetta seedling of his own raising .
Things are moving down South .
Cheers John ..
