Notheast North Carolina Daffodil Society Fall Meeting and Bulb Exhange

I’m amazed at how hardy some daffodil enthusiast’s can be.  Thanks to the brave showing on Saturday October 27th our fall meeting and bulb exchange was held in the “teeth of Hurricane Sandy.”   We had 39 courageous people that attended and had a successful meeting as Hurricane Sandy swirled off our coast. The weather was a heavy overcast and 25-30 mile per hour wind gusts but the rain held off until the end of the meeting and after that it was just a steady sprinkle.  We can expect Sandy tomorrow (Sunday and Monday), hopefully it will stay out to sea in our area of Northeast North Carolina.  Thanks for being there and making our fall meeting a success.  Emergency organizations were already called up and some Declarations of Emergency was already in place.

Thank you for your support of our daffodil society. I had a wonderful time and I hope you did also.  See you at our next meeting on February 23, 2013 and at our show a month later on March 23, 2013.

Best Regards,

Clay
