In the mentioned area with the three autumn flowering species there grow many N. x alleniae, a natural cross of N. miniatus x N. viridiflorus. The colour of the perianth is often a light green-yellow. The vitality and bulb production of many clones are better than that of the parents. The fragrance is intense and lovely and shows a clear influence of N. viridiflorus. I think there is an opportunity to find a fertile clone of N. x alleniae for hybridizing.
