The week of December 14 I went to a week long conference in Chicago. At the end on Saturday afternoon I visited the Art Institute of Chicago because it was within walking distance of my hotel. One of the things they suggest visitors with little time try to see is the Londonderry Vase. Attached is a picture of the vase inside its case and a close-up of part of the floral painting on the vase. This was the only daffodil I saw at the Art Institute. It is on the wide middle section of the vase at the top of the floral band on the left. I assume it is Soleil d’Or.
