The computer server that runs the ADS Internet applications has been having disk errors for the last few weeks. We tried to keep it running because this is our busiest season. Recently the disk errors became too extensive and I had to rebuild the server.
After I replaced the disk cables and terminators, the failing system disk, and the dvd drive, I installed a new operating system. I then restored the custom settings from the other disks.
I believe everything is working now but will have to do some adjustments and tuning before everything is done. I still need to set the proper passwords for the local society web sites and some special ADS accounts.
This affects DaffSeek and all the ADS and other local society web servers as well as the mail server and ADS mailing lists like Daffnet.
The ADS has approved purchase of a new server which we will get started on about July.
