The news reports of the torrential rains and mudslides in California, especially in the Los Angeles area, look terrible. I hope our California friends are all right.

Livermore is just getting a good rain, and the arroyos have water running in them, but there are no problems here at this time. As you say, So Cal is getting drenched. Melissa

Mary Lou: We measured 10 inches of rain in our yard. Considering we get an average of 13″ in a year, that is quite a lot of water for us. My daughter, 5 minutes up the road has some water damage. She has a split level home on a hill and the lower level had water coming up through the base boards. They needed to pump the extra water out. We seem to be Okay.
Some of the early growing seedlings are showing some water damage, but its too early to know how bad. We had a few patches of sunlight yesterday and hopefully more will come today.
