  1. Now, now Malcolm your biases are showing!!!  And please remember that Trena was Champion Bloom at a NDSNZ National Show as long ago as 1986.  I have never seen another cyclamineus anywhere as good as that particular flower – had we had a pointing then it would have undoubtedly have been in the high 90’s.  I can say all this  without any bias, especially as quite by coincidence I grew the Trena that got the Award.   Keep trying Malc!

  2. Dear All,

I have been brought to task by my friend Tom Alty for not giving the name of the Exhibitor of the Best Bloom Trena 6W-Y at Catforth Daffodil Show on Saturday! His name is Andrew Clarke a new exhibitor of daffodils and is also Joint Organiser of the Catforth Show.
I also agree with Peter that Trena is one of the best Div 6 flowers for show having the wonderful habit of providing top quality show flowers season after season, it has everything you could ask from a Div 6 topped off with Grace and Style.
It hurts me to say it but it is one of the best flowers to come out of New Zealand, and of course there are many others.
