This is a photo of: V03-13-8 a 4Y-R which is a cross of ‘Double Play’ x ‘Kiwi Gossip’. I also included a side view to give a feel for the excellent neck, pose, and stem that this Selection exhibits. This is in the pipeline for naming but at least 3 to 4 years away from release/introduction.
The late Max Hamilton’s lovely “Kiwi Solstice’ is one of the most consistent show doubles here. It usually gives a high percentage of fine show flowers. It seems to me that if a Div. 4 is crossed with a Div. 4, heavily doubled flowers result. It is often very difficult to find a stigma and/or pollen on many doubles. Getting both a stigma and pollen from target parents in the same year is often a wish rather than reality.
