As Daffnet is rather slow right now, I went out and took a few more native butterfly pictures, For your enjoyment. All of these are at my home in Southaven, Mississippi. A little south of Memphis, Tennessee. Most of these butterflies are nectaring on Aesculus Parviflora (Bottlebrush Buckeye) one of the most beautiful flowering shrubs in North America. Great fall color also. Native to Southeastern USA but will grow further north also.
