Early

I like Bambi as it flowers late winter, makes a lovely display and usually says spring is not far away. Bambi usually opens about the 10th of August. I have to report that my first flower of Bambi, for this season, opened today with another clump about two days away. I have had Leucojum in flower for a couple of weeks. I thought it normally flowers about the first week of September.

The ski fields in the South Island normally open about the 6th June but they have no snow. Maybe winter is yet to come.
