non-daffodil – bird feeder visitor

It’s so great to finally have found a real squirrel proof bird feeder!  The bottom ring of this feeder spins when a squirrel lands on it.  (The ring unplugs to bring inside to recharge.)  The squirrels do try it now and then, but I’ve only seen one stay on the squirrel merry-go-round for several turns.  I’m not sure if it liked it or just couldn’t figured out how to get off it.  However, this raccoon is smarter than the squirrels and doesn’t put its weight on the ring.  The raccoon also seems to think the squirrel guard on the pole is an excellent perch.  Excuse the grainy photograph as the raccoon keeps appearing at dawn when there is very little light.
