Freakiest season ever

Hello John, This has to be the most unlikely Winter weather sequence that I have ever seen in my 4O plus years of daffodil growing!!! First the flowering sequence advances By 2or 3 weeks with almost no frosts during June and July and now pay back time with unprecedented low temperatures and dumps of snow in places never seen before and now a succession of frosts, about six so far and the wicked white witch of winter hasn’t quite finished with us yet This freaky weather has come at the worst possible time severely curtailing our production to supply the Cancer Society with the thousands of bunches that they need for the Daffodil day fund raiser, To see more of this sorry saga Google Waikato Times Daffodil Day
