Ollie — 2 Y – YO N Z intermediate.

Hi Daffnetters,
Still rather cold and the daffs are slow.
A few flowers that I was watching as they opened went, went down
with the weight of the snow. This fellow kept his head up..
Ollie — 2 Y – YO — intermediate from Denise McQuarrie..
I had 3 nice blooms on tall, stout stems, maturing nicely just before the snow.
None of the stems broke or kinked under the snow but 2 were badly mudded.
By size it looks a genuine intermediate — all were well under the 80 mm limit
— probably,at maturity,around 73 – 75.
Strong neck, great stance, – intriguing color changes, paling from rim to perianth,
then a stronger zone at joint of base and cup.All 3 were very even and showable.
Nice flower Denise — I,m also watching you E 6, ( 4 W – P ) — fattest double bud in garden.
Cheers John.
