Not strictly daffs but was interesting to watch .
I just arrived at the garden as a red helicopter , center left , was cruising over the nearby
High voltage , power transmittion cables and the pylons , — center right.
He followed the cables to each pylon , hovered over the pylon and I could see the snow
being blown off — then on down the line .
Apparently a common way of removing snow of lines and pylons , weather permitting .
It was,nt long before the neighbours kids were having a snow fight by the daff beds .
Snowmen all over the area in places they have never been seen before .
Picked a small bunch of daffs and took a long way home , calling in on Reg and Rita
Cull for a warm coffee and a chat .
In over 70 years in Foxton ,Reg had never seen the snow so low on the Tararua foot hills ..
Both are well , waiting for the daffs and shows to start ..
Cheers John.
