Journals on the way soon

The printer has completed the Journal and it was delivered to the mailing
service. I have sent the mailing data to the mailing service in Jackson,
MS. I hope they might be able to take the prepared SEP Journals to the USPO
Bulk Mail Unit in Jackson, later today. So know that those in the US,
should start receiving their Journals by the end of this week, or the first
of next week. I can report that my personal copy of the Journal takes an
average of five “mail” days to reach me. That’s not bad. For some
mysterious reason, delivery to ADS members residing in VA, seem to take
longer than any other state. For international members, your Journals are
picked up at the printer’s in Jackson, MS, and delivered to the DHL Global
mail prep unit near Chicago, IL. They prepare the publication and the
Journals are then airmailed to your country of destination (but I am aware
that sometimes it may be a nearby country!). The Journals are then put into
the domestic mail stream of your country, and normal postal delivery
commences. I am always interested to know when international members
receive their Journals. I like to make a determination about the value of
services we receive from DHL Global. So international friends, please send
me an email when your SEP Journal arrives. Sometimes, our international
members receive their Journals before those in the US. So far, I have been
pleased with DHL Global, and their prices allow us to offer international
memberships at the same rate of members residing in the USA. If we had to
charge you an airmail surcharge, utilizing the US Postal System, we would
have to charge you an additional $25-30 annually. Ouch!

Appreciatively,
