All,
My bulbocodiums are up, and cantabricus is blooming
I just have them out in the yard in regular dirt
I took all the itty bitties from our bulb sale last year, so last year only 1 bloomed; this year i have 4 bloom stalks but the bloom seem a bit smaller
I don’t know if this is nutrition or just life in the South compared to the Netherlands
But in general, is there something bulbocodium folks prefer?
Elsewise they just get a shot of 5-10-15 when everything else does…

Sara,
My N. Cantabricus is also up. But with the usual very dry summers we have in Coastal NC, I usually get bloom from them in January. Not sure this year with the early and ofter, rain.
I also have all my miniatures planted directly into the ground. My bulbocodiums are also sprouting.
