It is after midnight here. We have attended Christmas Eve services and Leitha is wrapping the last parcels. Wow its Christmas Day. Merry Christmas everyone.
Friday was scary but fortunately little damage was done. We have removed the bulging brick cladding from one wall and will ultimately probably have to redo the whole house. Fortunately Saturday was calm and warm and most of Canterbury was able to go about normal business. My special thanks to those who contacted us. It is great to have friends in time of worry.
Dave and Leitha.
David & All..
it’s good to know that there was no harm done to the living in your
home and hopefully the surrounding area.
Merry Christmas to all our Southern Hemisphere friends!!!
Here in the Northern Hemisphere, I wish everyone a very happy Christmas
Eve!!
I hope everyone has a very happy, healthy, & Safe Holiday season!..

Good Morning All – it is just after 7.00am here in Hamilton, New Zealand.
The Sky is clear – it looks like we are in for a warm day. Our
celebrations start in the cottage next door where Tracey, Bruce and their
family live. John, our son and Rowena (Rowbie), his partner are with us and
we will soon exchange our Xmas presents at the cottage. After breakfast we
will be welcoming friends, neighbours and families for a Xmas drink and we
will perhaps have a swim (involuntary for some of us!) The table is set for
our Xmas lunch, then it’s a do-nothing day. Bulb lifting will soon be upon
us!!
I rang the Adams’s as soon as we heard about the earthquakes in ChCh.
David was out but I talked to Leitha when the second quake struck. She was
amazingly calm through it all! We really feel for them but, thankfully
there has been no loss of life this time.
To all our Daffodil friends all the best for the festive season. We hope to
see some of you in Hamilton for the North Island National Show and then in
Dunedin for the World Convention. Planning is underway for both shows.
Cheers,
Peter
