East Tennessee Daffodil Society Show – Gold Ribbon

The Gold Ribbon winner for the standard “Best in Show” was a rare occurrence. I’ve only known a double Daffodil to be awarded the Gold Ribbon one time in my experience in the years of shows I’ve attended. This flower was chosen from the 3 stem Standard White Ribbon winner. A White Ribbon winner of a double cultivar is also a very rare occurrence.

  2. It must be a TN thing, Tom! I remember you commenting last year at our Middle TN Daffodil Society show in Nashville how unusual it was for Steve Vinisky's hybrid 'Double Play' to win the White Ribbon with one of them selected as the Gold. Was this your vase of 3, Tom?

This year most of my doubles here did not do very well. I have picked and am saving the few decent ones for our show this weekend. I know Cincinnati has moved their show up to this weekend, but we will certainly welcome anyone who wants to bring flowers to Nashville! Email me for more info.
