Albany is a city in the Willamette Valley of Oregon. The Oregon Daffodil Society hold three daffodil shows. The first one was in Amity a couple weeks ago. The Portland show will be in a couple weeks. Last weekend the show was at the Heritage Mall in Albany. Despite the inclement weather there was a respectable turnout with slightly over 800 stems on display.
The Gold Ribbon is for the best standard daffodil in the show, excluding the Historic and Container sections. The winner was Parnell’s Knob 1Y-Y exhibited by Peggy Tigner.
