Mistreating bulbs

A couple of years ago I complained about not being able to rebloom lacticolor. In response, I got at least half a dozen suggestions for mistreating the bulbs in various ways. Last year, being equally frustrated with reblooming Stocken, I dug the bulbs, washed them and put them in a mesh bag, put the bag in an ordinary flower pot and left them to bake under the eaves right next to the house on the south side. They loved it, apparently, because they all bloomed nicely this spring.

So, thanks for all the ideas about mistreating bulbs. Now, I’m beginning to wonder whether there are some shy bloomers from other divisions which would thrive under the same treatment, because Stocken is a Div 7, not a tazetta like lacticolor.

Any thoughts?
