fall blooming daffodils

Hello everyone,

Not a lot of daffodil blooms from down under being posted right now, so decided to post a few fall daffodils  blooming  in Southaven, Mississippi. Don’t know if I have mastered how to get the names on the photos yet, so the first is n. viridiflorus, next is miniatus. These bulbs were obtained several years ago from Brian Duncan. The yellow one is n. perezlarae an intersectional hybrid of n. cavanillesii x serotinus. Got these bulbs from Mary Lou Gripshover, think she got them from Harold Koopowitz. Have had these several years also, had about given up on ever seeing a bloom from this, finally one bloom this fall.  Have a great day everyone.

Regards,

Larry

  1. Larry,

I’m glad N. x  perezlarae finally bloomed for you!  I never got a bloom from it in the years I had it.

I’ll have a bloom on one of Harold’s crosses of N. tazetta aureus x N. miniatus in the next day or two.  The sheath is split, so it should open soon.

    Mary Lou
